Like most families with teenagers away from home at Boarding School when our eldest child left for her first taste of independence we wanted to stay involved and supportive.

Keeping those close links over a distance, we discovered, is not easy. The kindness of family, friends, and school staff proved a great help, but when we wanted to send the occasional treat (well done, cheer up, love you) or some unforeseen but “must have” item we were amazed to discover how time consuming and difficult it could be.

Talking with other parents and school staff to find out how they overcame these problems we realised that we were not alone. We turned to the internet to find the right solutions, some worked well, but more proved simply an exercise in frustration. So the idea for TuckOnline was conceived.

We are committed to helping families to keep their long distance connections strong - sharing food over the miles, we believe, helps. Please contact us if you have any thoughts on how we can improve our service to you.
